Indians labour and westerners rulers...still!

Indian companies which serve western nations treat their clients/ consumers as kings.
A very straight forward proof to this theory can be derived from the struggle an Indian worker has to do to take take leave on such occasions as Diwali and Eid.

The west closes all its doors for business during the fortnight surrounding Christmas. The period is considered a vacation time nationwide. Everyone holidays.

But when it comes to Indians, we are treated with contempt if we ask for leaves for Diwali/Eid celebrations. For example no Indian MNC closes on Eid. Its a restricted holiday for them.
The same is the case with Dussehra with most Indian companies.
Diwali is celebrated over a week, each day of week has a Puja to be performed, but they dont understand it.
Most of the MNC workforce comes from small towns where these festivals still regain their old world charm and are with full enthusiasm. Do the companies want us to cut our roots? If the christians can go on leave for fifteen days for celebrating their major festivals then why shouldn't we be allowed to take leave for our major festivals?
I have seen many BPOs open on Diwali night and some even remain open on National holidays such as Independence day and Gandhi Jayanti.

Why doesn't the private sector recognise human rights? Don't they have respect for their and their worker's religion?

and the scene gets uglier.....

Hit by the recession wave, the IT industry seems to be becoming more treacherous.
Frozen salaries ,stalled promotions , inhumane firing mark the new face of IT industry in India.
The bonds offered are for longer periods and higher assurance sums.

People are ready to work for as low as INR 3-5 thousand. With cheap resources and a right to fire anytime in the name of recession, what else would a companies need?
